Photos from the Natomas Citizens for Flood Safety Press Conference Since taking office in November, the District One Youth Advisory Committee has been hard at work helping our community. Here’s what we’ve been up to: Spent nearly 30 hours at Stanford Settlement during December to help with Operation Cratchit. An effort to help get food to those in need during the holidays. Participated in Photos from the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) Check Presentation to Animal Care Services at the City Council Meeting Many of you may have already noticed that there is a new (but familiar) face during pick up and drop off times at local NUSD schools. Vehicle versus pedestrian accidents in District One significantly increased after John Banks retired in 2010 after 31 years of service with the Sacramento Police Department. The lack of enforcement, Hey there everyone! I hope that you’re all doing well, and that 2011 is going great for you. This section is about what I’ve accomplished since we took office in November. First, I’ve been talking to the schools in District One and letting them know that we’re listening, know what’s going on, and want to MYTH: Government workers have easy paced, stress free jobs. FACT: The pace around City Hall is anything BUT easy. And, if there is one thing I quickly learned from the moment we stepped foot in the door, it is that hardly anyone in this building is resting on their laurels. It’s been 105 days |
