Community Connections: Reports Available

Hundreds of dedicated community members took the time to participate in our Community Connections forums. The energy, enthusiasm and willingness of all the participants to roll up their sleeves and get involved has given us a tremendous opportunity to hit the ground running.

You packed the venues at all three events and gave generously of your time. As a result, we have three comprehensive guides to get us started in our efforts — I am so appreciative your input and support.

Detailed outcome reportsfor all three forums are available below.

On June 8, 2010, you elected me to serve as the next Councilmember of District One, representing the communities of Alkali Flat, Downtown, The River District / Richards Boulevard, North and South Natomas, and Gardenland-Northgate. My commitment to you as residents and business owners in District One is to represent the District’s needs and goals and to maintain the highest quality of life standards possible in each of our diverse and unique neighborhoods.

Over the 100 days leading up to my being sworn in as councilmember, I conducted a series of collaborative district-wide meetings that I called Community Connections. This was a unique opportunity to seek your ideas, thoughts, input and experiences related to the challenges and successes throughout our region.

Each of the three events was packed to capacity with dedicated members of our community who gave generously of their time, and as a result, we have three comprehensive guides to get us started in our efforts to strengthen our community and our neighborhoods.
