John Parrinello, District One Planning Commissioner

On January 26th, the Sacramento City Planning Commission welcomed its newest Commissioner, John Parrinello.

As the District One appointment by Vice Mayor Ashby, John is a dedicated community volunteer who brings with him prior planning commission experience, having served on the Planning Commission for the City of Fort Bragg. He is retired from a distinguished career with Pacific Gas and Electric.

Aside from being an involved grandfather, John is a Heritage Park resident who has been tremendously helpful in establishing the largest and most comprehensive neighborhood watch system in Sacramento. He is also a founding volunteer for the Natomas Police and Community Re-source Center and is a former President and Board Member of the Heritage Park HOA.

Last year, John was featured in our July 2011 Newsletter as a District One Diamond. John has said that his favorite part about being a resident of District One is watching the community steadily moving forward. We are like a city unto ourselves. There is a tremendous sense of community in North Natomas. When there is a problem that affects us all, residents step up to the plate and solve it. We do not look over our shoulders and say “Let the other person do it.”

He is a devoted community leader, husband, father, grandfather and will no doubt be a great asset to our City in representing the interests of District One on the Planning Commission.

We could not be happier to have John on the District One team.
