Proposed teaching hospital and medical campus at former Sleep Train Arena site comes to City Council

The project, spearheaded by Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby, in coordination with the Sacramento Kings, will result in the creation of a major teaching hospital, innovation park and medical campus that will create thousands of jobs as well as new housing at the vacant arena site. On January 13th, the Planning and Design Commission unanimously forwarded a recommendation of approval to the city council.
