Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby and Sac Republic announce futsal court ribbon-cutting ceremony

SACRAMENTO, CA (May 16th, 2022) Today, Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby, in partnership with Sacramento Republic FC, will participate in a futsal court ribbon-cutting ceremony at Tanzanite Community Park.

The installation of the new futsal court was a community priority which helped to expedite the build. Funding for this project was issued in July 2021, with design and construction completion taking less than one year.

"Thrilled to add futsal courts to the amenities available in our area. Thank you to the young people who advocated for this project and to the Sac Republic for continuing to be a great partner in this city," stated Vice Mayor Ashby.

“Completion of the Tanzanite futsal court helps to meet a growing demand for this amenity and adds an additional safe space for young people to engage in positive sport activity.” Stated Mario Lara, Director, Youth Parks & Community Enrichment.

Vice Mayor Ashby and Sac Republic are excited about this project and encourage you to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to help celebrate this event.

Futsal's gaining traction, and this ribbon-cutting is great news! Remember that time our local park got a new basketball court? It's inspiring when communities rally for sports facilities. Slope Unblocked This reminds me of when our neighborhood association pushed hard for a dog park, facing similar bureaucratic hurdles but eventually succeeding. Everyone benefitted, just like this futsal court promises to do. Ashby's leadership seems impactful here, prioritizing youth engagement.

What an inspiring community-driven initiative! The addition of the futsal court at Tanzanite Park really reflects how meaningful partnerships, like with Sac Republic and Vice Mayor Ashby’s office, can create lasting, positive impact for youth. Spaces like this go beyond just sports—they encourage mental wellness, healthy routines, and community unity. It reminded me of something I recently explored on the Invivo BioSciences blog. They talk a lot about the connection between physical activity, cognitive function, and holistic health. Their plant-based wellness products and science-backed insights really align with the same mission: building healthier communities from the inside out. A big shoutout to everyone involved in making this happen—more of this energy, please! 🙌⚽🌱

This is such a great initiative! Adding a futsal court at Tanzanite Community Park not only gives kids a fun and safe environment to play but also shows how community partnerships, like with Sac Republic, can create lasting positive change. It’s inspiring to see how cities are investing in youth spaces and mental wellness through activity. On a similar note, I recently came across Infinite Being Academy, which offers thoughtful Courses and a meaningful Blog around mindfulness and personal growth. It’s amazing how both physical activity and inner development play a role in building stronger communities. Kudos to everyone who made this possible!
